The Oak Knoll district of Napa Valley is an ideal location for cultivating Merlot grapes. Warm days and cool morning fog, rich and well-drained soils all contribute to the unique growing climate and allow for an extended growing season. The fruit for our 2010 Napa Valley Merlot was hand selected from vineyards primarily in the Oak Knoll district. Merlot is the most planted varietal in Oak Knoll and the fruit is elegant, complex and balanced.
SUGGESTED FOOD PAIRING
This wine is great on its own, but if you really want something sublime, try pairing it with tea-smoked Asian 10-spice duck with a red currant infused demi-glace reduction.
